Her passion for sculpting Chinese character heads was influenced by her experience working as a consultant, advising Western Professionals on cultural nuances of Chinese people.
Non-verbal expressions in the Chinese culture differ from those of Western society. The facial expression of the Chinese people often convey emotions and intentions that are contrary to those of Western culture. Every bust begs the question of what is truly intended.
